This morning we announced the signing of Welsh striker Alex Samuel, he joins us on a 2-year-deal from recently relegated English side Wycombe Wanderers. The signing comes as a replacement for the departing Oli Shaw, who scored 9 goals for the club in 41 appearances,we wish him all the best for his contribution over the last few years.

Samuel’s goal record certainly doesn’t catch the eye to begin with, however he has been highly regarded by many fans of his previous clubs due to his hard work and effort’s during games. Last season he didn’t score a single goal in Wycombe’s relegation battle, however he only started 7 of them so we can cut him some slack. The Welsh striker has previously played for Wycombe, Stevenage, Newport County, Swansea City, Greenock Morton and Aberystwyth Town.
